Three hottest seats on the Cleveland Browns

The Cleveland Browns proved to have one of the most complete rosters in the NFL in 2023, making the playoffs with four different starting quarterbacks.

With a healthy Deshaun Watson set to return next season, they are hoping to be Super Bowl contenders once again. Several players will need to step up to do so, however.

With that in mind, here are three Browns on the hottest seats in 2024.

Quarterback Deshaun Watson

Watson has simply not lived up to the expectations that fans had for him when Cleveland traded a king's ransom, which included three first-round picks, for him.

The 28-year-old has played in just 12 games over the past two seasons, throwing just 14 touchdowns and nine interceptions.

The Browns may not be able to financially move on from Watson after handing him a five-year, $230 million fully guaranteed contract in 2022, but that doesn't mean they can't find his replacement.

Watson will have zero excuses next season, especially after the addition of yet another talented wide receiver in former first-rounder Jerry Jeudy. It's time to put up or shut up for Watson.

Wide receiver Elijah Moore

Cleveland traded a second-round pick for Moore last offseason, but he has yet to find his footing in the NFL.

The No. 34 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft is coming off yet another disappointing season in 2023 when he had just 640 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

Moore is heading into the final year of his rookie deal as well, which means he must produce his best season or he will be heading elsewhere in 2025.

The Browns are sending a message to the soon-to-be 24-year-old with the addition of Jeudy to the wide receiver room. Moore should feel the pressure.

Linebacker Devin Bush

Bush just joined Cleveland on a one-year deal in free agency and it may be his last chance to prove he can be a starter in the league.

The No. 10 overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft hasn't been the same since his rookie season when he had 109 tackles, one sack, one forced fumble, four fumble recoveries and two interceptions.

Most have chalked up his decline in play to him tearing his ACL in the 2020 season, but he's several years removed from the injury now.

In 2023, the 25-year-old had just 37 tackles as a backup with the Seahawks. He must prove he can return to being a productive player when on the field or he'll be out of the league sooner rather than later.
